They are also much easier to clean since there isn't as much fabric to worry about. Accidents happen in the kitchen and you should use easily replaceable drapes if you have a kid, dog or both. All it takes is a slip with a plate of spaghetti and those $100 drapes will be ruined forever.

To add flair to a room, you have a ton of choices in the area of curtain rods, hooks, and hangers as well. These are needed to hang your drapes anyway so you might as well find something that will bring out the feel you are going for in your room. There are very beautiful rods made from all types of wood that can be used to personalize your rooms but these can be pricey.
